Step-by-step setup (follow in order):

  • Unpack the stand and display carefully. Keep packing materials until setup is complete so you can return items to the box if needed.
  • Inspect the stand for damage or manufacturing debris. Wipe the stand with a dry or slightly damp microfibre cloth if needed; allow to dry completely before placing the display.
  • Choose a stable, level surface for the freestanding display. Ensure the surface is clean and able to support the weight of the display plus the stand.
  • Prepare the Shelly Smart Wall Display by powering it down according to the display manufacturer’s instructions (if already powered). If the display is new, follow the display’s initial setup guidance before mounting it on the stand.
  • Align the display with the stand’s seating area. Gently lower the display into the stand so the base of the display sits evenly in the stand’s cradle. The stand is designed for convenient placement and removal — do not force the display into position.
  • Confirm that all ports, buttons and controls on the display remain accessible and unobstructed when the display is seated in the stand. Re-route any cables so they exit without kinking or pinching; leave enough slack for gentle movement.
  • If using non-slip pads or rubber feet, apply these to the underside of the stand now to increase surface grip. Use pads designed for furniture or electronics to avoid marking the surface.
  • Plug in and reconnect the display following the display manufacturer’s power and connectivity instructions. Ensure cables are routed so they do not place leverage on USB, HDMI or power connectors.
  • Power the display on and verify stable, level positioning. Gently test stability by pressing near the top edge; the display should remain steady and not rock excessively. If movement occurs, reposition the stand on a firmer or more level area.
  • To remove the display, power it down if required by the display instructions, then lift the display straight up from the stand in a controlled manner. Store the stand in a dry place when not in use.
