Bold Clicker Cover

  • Tools required:
    • Clean, lint-free cloth (microfibre)
    • Mild detergent or isopropyl alcohol (70%) for light cleaning — optional
    • Dry cloth or paper towel
    • Well-lit, flat workspace
  • Applications:
    • None — no software or mobile apps are required to fit or use the cover

Capabilities: protects against dust, scratches and minor impacts; improves grip and handling; preserves button and port access; helps reduce visible wear.
Connectivity: not specified.
Compatibility: designed specifically for the Bold clicker.

  • Step 1 — Inspect the cover and clicker: Confirm you have the correct item for the Bold clicker. Check the silicone cover for any defects such as tears, holes or manufacturing debris before fitting.
  • Step 2 — Clean the clicker: Wipe the clicker with a clean, lint-free cloth. If there is sticky residue or dirt, lightly dampen the cloth with water and a small amount of mild detergent, or use 70% isopropyl alcohol. Do not soak the clicker; avoid introducing liquid into any ports or seams. Dry thoroughly.
  • Step 3 — Prepare the cover: Turn the silicone cover inside-out slightly at the opening to make fitting easier, if the design allows. This reduces the force required and helps prevent overstretching.
  • Step 4 — Align openings: Identify the button and port cut-outs on the cover and align them with the clicker’s buttons, battery compartment and ports. Correct alignment before fully seating the cover prevents misplacement of cuts and ensures full access.
  • Step 5 — Fit the cover: Slide the top edge of the clicker into the cover first, then gently work the cover down over the sides. Gradually smooth the cover around corners and edges until all parts of the clicker are fully enclosed and the cut-outs match the device features.
  • Step 6 — Check button function and access: Press each button through the cover to confirm tactile response is acceptable and that buttons are not obstructed. Verify any ports, battery access or clips remain reachable and that the cover does not prevent normal operation.
  • Step 7 — Adjust for fit and comfort: If any area feels loose or the cover shifts, remove and refit, taking care to align cut-outs. If the cover is too tight to fit without excessive force, do not stretch aggressively — check you have the correct size for the Bold clicker.
  • Step 8 — Routine maintenance: To clean the cover while fitted, wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then dry. For deeper cleaning remove the cover and wash in warm water with mild soap, rinse and dry thoroughly before refitting. Avoid harsh solvents or sharp tools that could damage the silicone.
  • Step 9 — Removal: To remove, gently peel the cover back from one edge and work it free; do not use sharp objects or excessive force which could damage the cover or clicker. Inspect both items for debris before storing or refitting.
  • Step 10 — Storage and expected life: Store the cover flat in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Silicone will gradually show wear; replace the cover if it develops tears or significant deformation that affects fit or function.
